LEWIS KIRTON IN CONTENTION IN TENNESSEE
Louisville University, Kentucky freshman student Lewis Kirton from Oldmeldrum is sharing third place in a field of 93 after two rounds of the 54-hole Memphis Intercollegiate golf tournament at Colonial Country Club, Cordova in Tennessee.
Kirton has had rounds of 71 and 70 for a tally of 141 over the par-72, 7,249 course.
He is three shots behind leader Kyle Simmons (Southern Alabama University) who had scores of 68 and 70.
Lousivlle (563) have a 13-stroke lead over Wisconsin and Texas Christian in a field of 18 college teams.
