LATEST R&A WORLD AMATEUR RANKINGS


SEVEN SCOTS IN TOP 100 BUT
ENGLAND HAS FIVE
IN LEADING TWELVE

Scotland has seven players in the top 100 in the latest world men’s amateur golf rankings issued by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club.
US amateur champion Richie Ramsay (Richie Ramsay), pictured right, is the undisputed No 1 with Scott Jamieson (Cathkin Braes) in 19th place. Then comes George Murray (Elie & Earlsferry Thistle) 34th, Lloyd Saltman (Craigielaw) 52nd, Paul O’Hara (Colville Park) 59th, Callum Macaulay (Tulliallan) 64th and John Gallagher (Swanston) 87th).
But before we Scots get too cocky about it, England have FIVE players in the top 12 alone.
