MACHRIHANISH PRO-AM


DEAN ROBERTSON SCORES
FIFTH WIN OF SEASON
ON TARTAN TOUR
Scottish PGA champion Dean Robertson, pictured right, scored his third pro-am win this month and his fifth win on the Tartan Tour this season with a four-under-par 66 in the Machrihanish Golf Club pro-am today.
Robertson collected first prize of £1,172 with a scorecard that showed birdies at the second, sixth, seventh, eighth, 10th and 12th, with bogeys at the 11th and 16th in halves of 31 (four under par) and 35 (level).
Dean won by three shots from Stephen Gray (Hayston).
Two teams had net totals of 15-under-par 55 in the pro-am event. Victory, by virtue of a better inward half (27-29), went to the Campbeltown Motor Company trio of Campbell McMurchy (12), James Lafferty (12) and Scott Trelfa (16) and their professional, Alan Lockhart (Ladybank).
Pipped on the card countback were the “Whisky Macs” trio of Lee Mathieson (5), John Docherty (13) and Craig Dickson (18) and their pro, Colin Gillies (Kingsfield).
