LETHAM GRANGE MATCH ABANDONED

NORTH-EAST'S FINAL TIE WASHED  OUT
North-east's final Group B tie against Angus at Letham Grange today in the Scottish men's area championship was abandoned and declared a draw due to a waterlogged course.
Each area thus gained a point which gave Angus 3pt in all and looked to have clinched their place in the semi-finals at Glasgow Gailes on Saturday, October 7.
In Group A, the ties at Lundin and Colville Park were abandoned for the same reason after the foursomes had been completed. Fife were leading Argyll & Bute 3-0 while Lothians were 3-0 ahead of Lanarkshire. In this case, the results of the foursomes became the results of the matches.
