SCOTS EARN LITTLE AT MOLLINGTON

Former Scottish amateur champion Graham Gordon earned only £326 for a three-under-par total of 210 and a share of 23rd place in the latest PGA EuroPro Tour event, the GMS Classic at Mollington Golf Club, Chester.

The only other Scot to make the 36-hole cut, Ross Cameron from Ellon, finished in a tie for 43rd place with scores of 70, 69 and 75 for 214. He earned £227.
James Ruebotham, playing out of Nick Faldo's old club, Welwyn Garden City, won the £10,000 top prize by beating fellow Englishman Christopher Hansen (Crosland Heath) in a sudden death play-off.
They had tied on 11-under-par 202, Ruebotham with scores of 66, 69 and 67, Hansen with 69, 67 and 66. Hansen earned £5,000.
