PAULL AND WILLIAMSONS GIRLS' RANKINGS

CARLY BOOTH AND MICHELE

THOMSON ARE JOINT LEADERS

Title-winning Carly Booth (Comrie) and Michele Thomson (McDonald Ellon) are joint leaders of the Paull and Williamsons’ Scottish girls stroke-play golf rankings.

Carly, who has her 14th birthday tomorrow (JUNE 21), won the Scottish Under-16 girls’ open championship at St Andrews in April.

Michele, 18, winner of the Scottish schoolgirls’ championship at Troon last week, flies out to Alabama in August to start a four-year golf scholarship at Jacksonville State University.

They both have an average score of 2.5 over CSS in designated events for the P&W girls’ rankings and are a shot ahead of 16-year-old Megan Briggs (Kilmacolm).
