LADIES BRITISH OPEN AMATEUR

KRYSTLE'S CONQUEROR REACHES SEMI-FINALS

Miss Nordqvist went off the boil in the afternoon quarter-finals but found her game again in time to birdie the 13th, 14th and 15th and win the 16th with a par to go from two down to one up against Florentyna Parker, the 16-year-old daughter of a Germany-based club professional.
Halves at the last two holes put Anna through to the a semi-final meeting against Spain’s Maria Hernandez.
There will also be a Spaniard, Belen Mozo, in the second semi-final which also features the only Great Britain & Ireland player to survive, Naomi Edwards (Ganton).
Miss Mozo, from the C- a birdie 4 at the 15thadiz Region, was three up at the turn against Katharina Schallenberg but the German Vagliano Trophy player hit back to square the match after 16 holes. Belen kept calm and won the 17th with a par 4 to regain her lead and halved the last to reach the semi-finals at the tender age of 18.
Naomi Edwards won by two holes against the Irish champion, Martina Gillen. Naomi had a little bit of everything on her scorecard - five birdies and an eagle and, in her own words, "lots of bogeys."
Naomi produced the good when she had to - a birdie 4 at the 15th and an eagle 2 (holing a wedge shot from 75yards) at the 15th to go two up for the second time in the match.
Tricia won back the 17th but took four shots to reach the green at the par-5 last and eventually conceded the hole and the match.

QUARTER-FINALS
Hernandez bt Walker 7 and 6.
Nordqvist bt Parker 1 hole.
Mozo bt Edwards 1 hole.
Edwards bt Mangan 2 holes.
