Aberdeen and District Junior Pennant League fixtures for 2018 tournament

At the AGM there were at least three clubs who intimated that they would have to withdraw due to low numbers of juniors, this would have cut the number to 10 clubs.

 

 

We will have 15 clubs playing 2019 as Westhill will play in the new format and Deeside will field two teams.

 

It was interesting to hear a snooker discussion last weekend, Jimmy White and Alan McManus, when asked where are young stars of today said ‘there are not any’ and none in the snooker clubs as it was in their day.  They are all playing on their cell phones.

 

I am giving up the Secretary’s job of ADJPL and Jim Ramsay of Murcar Links is going to take over in “2020/2021 when he retires from his job, he is going to ‘’Shadow’’ me in the interim period

Gordon, thanks for this.  One slight challenge unfortunately. Portlethen Golf Club have a Men's Open scheduled for Sunday, June 23,  2019.

 

This means that the Portlethen Juniors would be unable to play a home match that week.  Therefore ,can I suggest that the full league program for League B on week 6 is switched around with week 5.

 

That might also work better for Deeside, as the proposed league program currently has both of the Deeside teams playing at home on the 16^th of June.

 

Hope this is acceptable.
