MUCKHART PLAYER LEADS JUNIOR MASTERS 
AT BLAIRGOWRIE BY THREE SHOTS

Andrew Thornton (Muckhart) shot a splendid round of five-under-par 67 to open up a three-stroke lead at the end of the first day in the 54-hole Barrie Douglas Scottish Junior Masters over the Lansdowne course at Blairgowrie Golf Club.

His nearest challengers in the U18s category are Ian Taggart jun (Lenzie) and Jack Gallacher (Bathgate) on the 70 mark.
Calum D Scott (Nairn) leads the U16s with a two-under 70, one stroke ahead of Gregor Graham (Blairgowrie)
