McKenna, Kellett and McDonald tie
on 69 at Archerfield

By JOHN HENRY
A dull and wet morning didn't stop 26 of Scotland's top professionals teeing it up at the fabulous Archerfield Links' Fidra course which was in superb conditions for our event today, sponsored by Golf Finance.
The rain only lasted the first nine holes, then soon brightened up into a dry afternoon.
Caldwell's Fraser McKenna, who turned 27 years of age today , Paul Lawrie Golf Centre's Ross Kellett and Kilmarnock Barassie's Jack McDonald tied for first place on three-under-par 69, a great score in the conditions over the 6,560yd
Special good luck mention to two of today's players, Scott Henry and Duncan Stewart, who are heading to Australia for next week's European Tour event - Athe ustralian PGA Championship.
Another great example of why the Big Johnson's Tour is a great stomping ground for professionals to hone their skills and get tournament experience against some of the country's best!
Massive thanks to Jamie Malcolm , Andrew Meikle and all the staff at Archerfield today. We were totally spoiled with the five-star service, facilities and course which was in great condition. All the players really enjoyed it.
Thanks as always go to our sponsor, Ian Henderson from Golf Finance.  Great to have a company in golf giving back and supporting our tour.
Our first event of our winter series will be on Wednesday, December 6 at Scotscraig Golf Club, Fife. Entries will open to ALL professionals from Wednesday (November 22)
