DRUMMOND, STEWART EARN £575 EACH

FOR JOINT FOURTH ON ALGARVE

Scott Drummond and Michael Stewart earned £575 apiece for finishiong joint fourth in the Jamega Tour 36-hole event over the weekend at Quinta do Vale Golf Club in the northwest of Portugal's Algarve coastline.

Drummond was two over par for the last five holes with scores of 71-75 for two-over 14while Stewart birdied the 12th, 13th and 16th only to run up a double bogey 6 at the 18th in his repeat 73.

They finished one shot behind the three Englishmen who contested a sudden death play-off  Jamie Abbot (71-74) won the first prize of £2,000 in the play-off.

David Dixon (71-74) and Tom Whitehouse (74-71) earned £1,250 each.

Callum Macaulay finished joint sixth on 148 (77-71) to earn £350.

The three Saltman brothers did not have a weekend to remember.

Elliot finished joint 23rd on 155 (77-78); Lloyd joint 27th on 157 (77-80) and Zack scored 81-79 for 160 and a share of 31st place in a field of 44.
