WATT HEADS AMATEUR 1-2-3 AT MIDLAND ALLIANCE AT BALBIRNIE PARK


Edzell three-handicap senior amateur Jim Watt won this week's Midland Golfers' Alliance meeting's top scratch prize at Balbirnie Park Golf Club, Fife.
Watt matched the par of 71 to win by four shots from Derrick Thomson (Downfield) with last week's winner, Gary Tough (Edzell) completing an amateur 1-2-3 finish, with a 76.
Thomson won the leading handicap award with a net 70.
