HOPES RISING OF 3PM START AT ALWOODLEY IN "BRITISH"

Although there is still a slight drizzle, conditions have improved at Alwoodley Golf Club where the eight third-round ties, scheduled to start from 8.30am, are in a state of suspension at the moment.
The large amounts of excess water lying in the first tea area have subsided considerably between 11am and noon.
There is a rising hope that play will start at 3pm.
