MURCAR LINKS PIP HOSTS DEESIDE

Murcar Links, beaten on a countback for the title last year, made no mistake in the Deeside Golf Club invitation foursomes tournament for the magnificent Dalswinton Trophy over the Bieldside course today. But it was a close-run thing in the end.
Murcar Links’ Bryan Innes, Terry Mathieson, Anthony Bews and Billy Main put together a two-round aggregate of 286 – one stroke ahead of the host club’s Andy Campbell, Sandy Hutchison, James Robertson and John Strachan.

Deeside (287) finished 10 shots ahead of third-placed Newmachar (297).
Innes and Mathieson had the best 36-hole total of 141, made up of a 70 and 71.
Deeside’s Robertson and Strachan were next best with 142 (70-72).
