Black day for Scots in Morocco: Jamieson, Gallacher, Lawrie, Forrest, Neil and Drysdale miss cut

Six Scots missed the halfway cut at this week's European Tour event in Morocco.
To make the weekend action, players had to shoot three-over-par 147 or better. Only Marc Warren (144), Conor Syme (146) and Richie Ramsay (146)
made it.
Scots who failed to make the third and fourth rounds of the Trophée Hassan II at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, Rabat were Scott Jamieson (150), Stephen Gallacher (150), Paul Lawrie (150), Grant Forrest (153), Bradley Neil (157) and David Drysdale (158).
Gallacher's exit represented a sudden and sharp decline in form between a first-round, two-under 70 and an eight-over 80 in the next circuit.

He might have known it wasn't going to be his day when he started with a double bogey 6. A birdie at the fifth wiped out that slip but that was his last bright moment.
Gallacher, pictured, bogeyed the sixth, seventh, eighth, 10th, 16th, 17th an 18th, being seven over par for his last 12 holes.
Spaniard Alvaro Quiros (35) leads the field after rounds of 67 and 70 for seven-under 137, holding a one-stroke advantage over Australia's Andrew Dodt.
Player Quotes

Alvaro Quiros: “Well, clearly the day was a completely different day in respect to yesterday, a little more windy. The early tee times are completely different, but in general, I guess the golf course is going to be playing more difficult than yesterday. So, I am pleased to finish the second round with a 70.
"The greens are playing too slow compared to what we are used to on the European Tour. That, plus the wind, made it difficult to judge long putts.”

Andrew Dodt: “It wasn't easy. Quite breezy, which made the course very different to yesterday. I played pretty solid, though, even though I was 2-over through five or six, I just kind of told myself to hang in there and try and hit fairways and greens, and I managed to do that on the back nine.
"The greens are quite new. They are still a little bit firm."
Erik Van Rooyen: “It's not easy out there. It's playing really, really tough. Two-club wind, so it was really just a grind in staying patient and I think it was solid.
