Deeside amateur's 77 in Algarve event

Deeside amateur golfer Benjamin Henderson returned a 77 in the first round of the Palmares Classic III on the Algarve on Wednesday.  He was joint 40th overnight, 10 shots behind English leader Mark Laskey.

Andrew Oldcorn leads senior Scots

Also on the Algarve yesterday, a huge field of some 122 players started the Senior Golf Circuit event at Pinheiros Altos and Laranjal.
Jose Manuel Carriles Colino leads by two with a score of 67.
