Duncan McNeill, from Annan, a third-year student at Toledo University, finished T17 in a field of 75 competitors at the Fighting Irish Classic over the Warren golf course, South Bend in Indiana.
McNeill had rounds of 70, 69 and 73 for a total of 212 over a par 70 course of 6,925yd.
The Scot finished eight strokes behind the two players who tied for the pole position on 204 - David Hicks (William and Mary) (69-67-68) and Steven Fisk (Georgia Southern) (66-71-67).
Toledo (847) finished fifth of 13 in the team event behind winners Notre Dame (822) and Georgia State (829).
