SCOTS KNOCKED OUT OF SENIOR
MEN'S EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Scotland's efforts to retain the Senior Men's European team title came to an end today (Friday) when they were beaten by Denmark in the semi-finals at the PGA National Club in Sweden.
Scotland went down by 3.5 points to 1.5. Nick Robson (Meldrum House) and Robert Smith (Nairn) won the opening foursomes match, but Denmark took 3.5 out of a possible 4 points in the singles matches.
Denmark will play Ireland in Saturday's final, while Scotland will face England in the third place play off.

R Clark (Erskine) lost to Jacobsen 3 and 1
S Henderson (Hamilton) lost to T Jensen 4 and 2
I Brotherston (Dumfries and Co) halved with H Duagaard
G Bell (Downfield) lost to M Flindt 1 hole.
