Scot John Hay and amateur partner set pace at
PGA Super-60s at Wollaton Park

Scot John Hay, professional at Waterlooville Golf Club, near Portsmouth, and amateur member Rob Dennett are setting the pace in the PGA's Super-60s better-ball stroke play championship at Wollaton Park Golf Club, Nottingham.
Hay and Dennett combined for an eight-under-par round of 63 and lead by one stroke from the Didsbury Golf Club pairing of professional Peter Barber and amateur Paul Dalby.
Rain brought an early end to the first day's play and quite a few pairings will be completing their first rounds early Thursday morning.

66 Graham Laing (North Wilts) and amateur Peter Davis (T5).
67 Jim Farmer (R and A) and amateur Stuart Farmer; Gordon Goldie (Chingford Golf Range) and amateur Geoff King (West Essex).
71 Martin Gray (unattached) and amateur Nicol Wilson (Ladybank); Bill Lockie (Gailes Golf and Leisure) and amateur Sandy Murray (Blairgowrie) (T23).
