Michael Sim just outside top 20 in South Pacific Open

Aberdeen-born Michael Sim is lying joint 23rd after two rounds of the South Pacific Open at Tina Golf Club, Noumea, New Caledonia.

The Sim family emigrated to Australia from the Westhill suburb when Michael was round about seven or eight years old.
Michael, pictured, has had rounds of 69 and 72 for three-under-par 141 but is 11 strokes behind the leader by three, Aussie Jake McLeod (63-67 for 130).
