Paul
Lawrie won today's Big Johnson's Tour event at Drumoig with a brilliant
score of eight-under-par 65 over the par-73, 6956yd course.
The
1999 Open winner, chalking up his second win in two appearances on the
circuit, shot three eagles in an inward half of six-under 30 - at the
par-4 10th and par-5 15th and 17th.
He also had four birdies and two bogeys
Hard luck on Kevin McAlpine to score a seven-under 66 and finish second on a day when Lawrie was in top form.
Organiser John Henry would like to thanks Paul and The Paul Lawrie Foundation, Devel
Golf , Golf Marker Systems and Bridge Golf Scotland for sponsoring the
event over a Drumoig course which was in great condition.
Lawrie now tops the order of merit with 300 points. The top ten
players qualify for the tour championship at Dundonald Links on Sunday, October 9
