Eric McIntosh leads Scottish challenge at 

Peter McEvoy Trophy

New Scottish boys champion Eric McIntosh (Bruntsfield Links) is lying in sixth place at the halfway stage of the 72-hole Peter McEvoy Trophy boys' tournament at Copt Heath Golf Club in the English Midlands.
McIntosh had rounds of 68 and 71 for 139 - only two shots behind the joint leaders Nicholas Elmey (Frilford Heath) 69-68 and Jake Benson (beeston Fields) 67-70 on 137.
Rory Franssen (Inverness) is in 18th position with a pair of 71s for 142.
Jamie Stewart (Old Ranfurly) shot 76-71 for 147 and 44th place overnight.
Darren Howie (Peebles) is in 66th place on 152 (80-72)
Lewis Reid (Craigielaw) scored 79 and 75 for 154 and 67th place.
