GUNN GETS ACE - PITY ABOUT THE DOUBLE BOGEY
AS HE FINISHES T5 AND EARNS $3,700 IN CALIFORNIA
Dornoch exile Jimmy Gunn, now based in Scottsdale, Arizona, achieved the third hole in one of his golfing career as he finished tied fifth in the latest Egolf Gateway Tour event at Rustic Canyon Golf Club, Moorpark in California.
Jimmy had rounds of 70, 66 and 69 for a total of 11-under-par 205, earning $3,700 but nothing extra for the hole in one!
Gunn might just about have won the $14,000 first prize had he not run up one double bogey and three bogeys in his final round, which wiped out the two eagles.
He finished only four shots behind the winner, American Scott Harrington, with 67, 68 and 66 for 201 - a shot ahead of runner-up, fellow-American Kyle Souza (71-65-66) who earned $7,400.
