MIDLAND ALLIANCE REPORT AND LEADING SCORES

WEBSTER, McKAY TIE AT PITLOCHRY

Two professionals, Edzell's Alastair Webster and Donald McKay (Wellsgreen) tied for top scratch honours at today's Midland Golfers Alliance competition at Pitlochry.

They both got it round in one-under-par 68 to finish a stroke ahead of another pro, Carnoustie Golf Club's Fraser Mann.

Chris Westland , who plays off 11 at Alloa, had a memorable  net score of 59, to win the handicap prize by eight shots.

Westland also led his team of Ken Thomson (Alloa) (14) and Fraser Mann to the top team prize in the Atholl Palace competition with a score of 53.
