PAUL SHIELDS MISSES THE CUT AGAIN IN ARIZONA
Rookie professional Paul Shields missed the 36-hole cut for the second week in a row on the All-American Professional Golf Tour in Arizona.
Shields had rounds of 77 and 71 for a four-over-par total of 148 in this week's 54-hole event at Sundance Golf Club, Buckeye near Phoenix.
A total of 31 players with totals of 142 and better qualified for the final round.
Leading the field at nine-under 135 are Americans Chris Saterlee (69-66) and Nick Killick (67-68), one shot ahead of Kevin Tway (70-66) and Neil Johnson (68-68).
Membership of the All-American Professional Golf Tour costs $900 and the tournament entry fee is normally $800, rising to $1,000 for some designated events.
Shields will be returning to this country to play in the PGA EuroPro Tour Qualifying School.
