A look at the key shots from Sea Island where Mackenzie Hughes takes a slender lead ahead of Camilo Villegas and Billy Horschel into the Final Round
Despite a triple bogey 7, Mackenzie Hughes remains atop the leaderboard at the RSM Classic in Georgia where the 26-year-old rookie from Canada carded a third-round 68 over the Seaside Course at Sea Island.
Hughes did not have the greatest day from tee-to-green, but he held his game together superbly to take a one-stroke lead into the final round of the US PGA Tour tournament.
Arriving at the 11th tee on Saturday, he had not dropped a single shot during his opening 46 holes but when it finally happened, it came courtesy of a terrible triple-bogey seven.
The Canadian rookie visited a brace of fairway bunkers and needed five strokes to reach the putting surface.
But he responded brilliantly by making three birdies in four holes from the 13th to reclaim top spot.
And if he is to hold on for a well-earned win on Sunday, it would give him a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour.
Just one shot behind, and tied for second, are Camilo Villegas, Billy Horschel and Cheng Tsung Pan.
Villegas came home in just 30 shots for a 64, as he raced up the leaderboard on day three. The experienced Colombian teed off in a tie-for-17th and is well-placed to claim a fifth career victory in the States.
American Horschel posted a bogey-free 65, while Pan had a 67. The 25-year-old from Chinese Taipei momentarily took the lead before suffering a bogey on 13.
However, it was a disappointing day for Ian Poulter who could only locate nine greens in regulation during a one-over-par 71.
The Englishman is nine strokes off the pace and one ahead of his compatriot Luke Donald, who carded a level-par 70

Craig Lawrie, elder son of the 1999 Open champion, earned 600 euros (£514) for finishing sixth in a field of 46 players at the opening event of the 2016-17 Algarve Professional Tour, staged at Boavista Golf Club, Lagos.

He had nine birdies over the 36 holes, including four in an outward half of 31 in his first round.  Bogeys at the 14th and 17th in his second round cost Craig a top-four finish behind the English-born winner, Daniel Garner, 21, from Romford Essex.
Garner earned the 2,000 euros (£1,714) first prize with scores of 64 and 71 for seven-under-135.

Scot Jay Taylor, pictured right, who is based in the south of England,  finished in a three-way tie for second place on 136 with scores of 67 and 69 for 136, a score matched by Tiago Cruz (Portugal) (70-66) and England's Harry Casey (68-68). The trio earned 1,033 euros each (£907).

Dubuisson's 64 takes him into one-shot lead in Dubai with one round to go

EUROPEAN TOUR COMMUNICATIONS
Victor Dubuisson will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai after posting a superb 64 today.
An impressive burst of scoring on his back nine - including a birdie at the last - saw the Frenchman move to 13 under, one stroke clear of nearest challengers Nicolas Colsaerts, Tyrrell Hatton and Matthew Fitzpatrick.
Rafa Cabrera Bello, whose third-round 63 was the lowest score of the day, is another shot back on 11 under, alongside Lee Westwood and Francesco Molinari.
Swede Henrik Stenson, who tops the Race to Dubai rankings, recovered from dropping three shots in his opening 10 holes to sign for a 70 and move to five under.
Danny Willett carded five bogeys and a single birdie in his 76 to fall to one over par, while Alex Noren's three-under-par 69 took him to seven under.
Starting the day four shots behind halfway leaders Sergio Garcia and Molinari, Dubuisson fired a birdie at the long second to get to six under.
The 26 year old then holed out with a sand wedge from 99 yards for an excellent eagle at the fifth but dropped a shot at the next.
Dubuisson finished his front nine in style, notching back-to-back birdies at the eighth and ninth to reach the turn in 32.
He safely parred the first four holes of his back nine before reeling off three straight birdies from the 14th to get to 12 under.
And he rolled in his birdie putt at the last to get to 13 under.
Dubuisson, who finished in a share of third place at last week's Nedbank Golf Challenge, was happy with his day's work.
He said: "It's a great score, my best to date.
"I've played well, made good putts at the right time. It's just a course I like - it's long. You have to carry the ball long.

After opening his third round with a bogey, Colsaerts recovered in style, making back-to-back gains at the second and third to get to seven under.
The big-hitting Belgian added further birdies at the fifth and sixth before rolling in an eagle putt at the seventh to take the outright lead.
Colsaerts finished his front nine with consecutive bogeys but bounced back with a birdie at the tenth.
After carding another bogey at the 14th, Colsaerts picked up a shot at the 16th before sinking his 20 foot eagle putt at the last to get to 12 under.
He said: "A grandstand finish on the last is always nice, but it's the same scenario again: I go from shooting myself in the foot with a couple of three putts, missing short ones again, and then I play a game that's probably nine out of ten.
"So it can be very frustrating, when you get into this position in those big tournaments, it's kind of maybe a little easier to keep digging in and not really let it away from you."
Fitzpatrick was six under par for his first eight holes after mixing an eagle with four birdies, but bogeyed the ninth to reach the turn in 31.
I hung in there and hit some good shots coming in and finished strong. It was a good day - Matthew Fitzpatrick

After carding a double bogey at the 13th, the Sheffield native made back-to-back birdies at the 14th and 15th before picking up another shot at the last.
"I feel like I played really well today," said Fitzpatrick. "I hung in there and hit some good shots coming in and finished strong. It was a good day."
Hatton, meanwhile, reached the turn in 34 after carding an eagle, three birdies and three bogeys in his first seven holes.
The Englishman's back nine was much more straightforward as he made birdies at the 13th, 15th and 18th to join Fitzpatrick and Colsaerts on 12 under.
Hatton said: "I'm happy with the score. I got off to a fairly inconsistent start. But I putted pretty well again today, and that was the key to today's score."

Jeev Milkha Singh leads Indonesia Open

NEWS RELEASE
JAKARTA: Jeev Milkha Singh of India fired a flawless six-under-par 66 for a 13-under tally of 203 to lead by one shot in the third round of the BANK BRI-JCB Indonesia Open today as he aims to end a four-year title drought.

The two-time Asian Tour number one posted six birdies today to set up a nail-biting finale against countryman Gaganjeet Bhullar, who settled for a 68 after he bogeyed the last hole at the Pondok Indah Golf Course.

Thailand’s Pannakorn Uthaipas returned with a 70 for a 205 total while local talent Danny Masrin trails by four shots after shooting a 67 as he aims to become the second Indonesian to win his National Open since 1985.

The penultimate round of the US$300,000 Asian Tour event was suspended at 5.20pm due to darkness and bad weather. Lionel Weber of France and Johannes Veerman of the United States have yet to finish their rounds where they are nine-under with one hole to play.

The 44-year-old Singh, who has won 14 titles around the world but not since 2012, was delighted to lead in the tournament after finishing 29 holes after the second round was suspended on Friday.

“I’ve been up since four in the morning and I played 29 holes today. I can’t remember the last time I played so many holes. Honestly, my feet are hurting but I should be ready by tomorrow,” he said.

“I want to give these young boys a run for their money. Mentally I’m 21 but physically I’m not. I want to keep playing this game for 10 years and for as long as I play, I want to make the most out of it,” Singh added.

After struggling with injuries in recent years, Singh played some of his best golf with the help of his coach and caddy Amritinder Singh. His young son also followed him for 18 holes to give him added motivation.

“At the end of the day you have to keep believing in yourself and keep working on the right stuff. I’m happy this week because my family are here with me and my son followed me for 18 holes for the first time in my life. I was focusing more on him and I think that helped!” said Singh.

Bhullar put himself in prime position to win the BANK BRI-JCB Indonesia Open for the second time in his career but he was disappointed to drop a shot on the last hole. He is enjoying a rich vein of form since winning in Korea last month.

“Everything was pretty smooth except the bogey on the last. I’m not pressing the panic button. I’m just trying to recall my memories from winning here before. I know I won this tournament before but it all comes to routine and process,” said the six-time Asian Tour winner.

The 26-year-old Pannakorn eagled the sixth hole from 10 yards to give himself a fighting chance at winning his first Asian Tour title as he trails Singh by two shots.

“I’m feeling excited about the final round. I made a lot of good putts this week. I hit some poor shots today but I saved par. I’m feeling confident and I will do my best tomorrow,” said the ever-smiling Thai.

The 24-year-old Masrin, who turned professional last year, reverted to his old putter as he rolled in six birdies to carry the hopes of the nation in the final round.

“My new putter felt good but it didn’t feel good in my hand so I decided to use the putter which has worked for me so far. My goal towards the end of the season is to play consistently and I’ve been doing that so hopefully tomorrow I’m holding that trophy,” said Masrin.

Canadian rookie Hughes leads US

 PGA Tour event
US PGA TOUR REPORT FROM
SKY SPORTS
Mackenzie Hughes continues to hold sway at the RSM Classic in Georgia where the US PGA Tour rookie posted a second-round 67 to open a two-shot lead at Sea Island.
The Canadian carded a stunning 61 over the Seaside Course on Thursday, before adding five more birdies at the Plantation Course 24 hours later.
And with 36 holes played, Hughes is yet to make a single bogey after hitting 26 of 28 fairways over the opening two days.
Leader Hughes admitted: "There's going to be nerves tomorrow, and I'm going to be a little jittery starting out, but that's completely natural.
"Today was definitely a little more work than on Thursday."
Hughes turns 26 next week and, at the halfway stage, his nearest challenger is Cheng Tsung Pan of Chinese Tapei.
The 25-year-old Cheng followed a 66 with a 64 at the Seaside Course on Friday, when his sole bogey came the par-three 17th.
England's Ian Poulter is tied-for-26th, six shots off the pace, following a brace of 67s.
Starting on the back nine on Friday, the 40-year-old enjoyed a run of four straight birdies from the 15th at Plantation.
Luke Donald is two strokes further back, while Irishman Seamus Power just made the cut at five-under-par.
