Loftus and McLeary share honours with

70s at windy Haggs Castle

By JOHN HENRY
Our event at Haggs Castle Golf Club today turned out better than what the forecast was suggesting! Heavy winds but only a few showers kept it playable out there today and considering the rain we have had past couple of weeks the course held up well

Three of our players just finished competing yesterday in the Highland Links pro am up in Inverness and they either drove down to Glasgow last night or early this morning - Chris Kelly , Paul Robinson and  Michael Patterson. Great effort, lads!!
European Tour player Jamie McLeary and Mearns Castle pro Mark Loftus shared first prize on two-under 70, a great score in the windy conditions
Massive thanks to Haggs Castle GC and all the staff for hosting us, our sponsors Devel Golf , Golf Marker Systems , The Paul Lawrie Foundation and  Bridge Golf, Scotland
The top 10 available players in our order of merit will play our Tour Championship at Dundonald Links on Sunday, October 9

FROM COLIN SMITH

We were honoured with a visit from Her Majesty on Tuesday.  She was visiting Ballater businesses which had been affected by Storm Frank and requested that she would like to visit the golf club.
She met members who had assisted in the clean-up operation.
