Go  Join the Fun at Eastwood’s Golf 4 All Day

Eastwood Golf Club is opening its doors to a day with a difference next weekend, as they look forward to hosting their ‘Golf 4 All Day’ event.
The club, situated on the south side of Glasgow, have put together a fantastic programme of planned activities for their free to attend event on Sunday 19 June.
Professional David Orr, who combines his club work as a Scottish Golf Regional Performance Coach, has worked hard with his team to promote an exciting initiative that is sure to be a hit with those young and old, and of all abilities.

Indeed, there is something for everyone, from junior coaching clinics to a parent and child 3-hole Texas Scramble event over holes 16 – 18 to Long Drive competitions.
Former European Tour player Steven O’Hara will also team up with his brother Paul for an ‘exhibition match’ against budding pro Rachel McQueen and leading Scottish amateur Megan Briggs.
Alan Tait will be on hand for interviews for the Scottish Golf Radio Show, with a BBQ being served – weather permitting – for all those in attendance.
Orr, who moved into the head professional role in March 2015, said: “We’re a local private members’ club with around 350 members and we’re looking to try and create events with a family feel, which is what Golf 4 All Day is.
“We want to showcase the local golf club to people, with members helping out, so hopefully there will be a real buzz about the club on 19 June.”
Everyone at Eastwood, who currently offer a Get into Golf programme for ladies, is looking forward to a memorable day.
“We’re going to start the day off with an exhibition match at 11.30am,” adds David. “It’s something slightly different, going back to the old days with exhibition games, so that will be fantastic. At the same time as the exhibition, we’re running a drop in junior coaching clinic so the kids are well looked after if the parents want to go out and watch some golf.
“We’re also doing putting drills and skills tests, while in the afternoon we’re doing a TrackMan Long Distance drive competition, from the putting green over the trees onto the first fairway, so that’s quite unique. Callaway, Titleist and TaylorMade are also going to offer products around the day for people to try them.”
