Duncan Stewart wins with a three-under-par

67 at Irvine Bogside

FROM JOHN HENRY
A slightly delayed start, due to frost, at Irvine Golf Club today for the 18-hole Big Johnson's Tour event sponsored by The Golf Lounge http://www.thegolflounge.co.uk

We eventually got the first game off at 10.40 with the sun beating down on us but still a chilly breeze.
The course set up today was off the winter course yellow tees, par 70. This was due to the golf club protecting their medal tees for the upcoming season, which is understandable due to the wet weather we have had in the West of Scotland  over past couple of weeks.
Grantown-on-Spey's Duncan Stewart, today's picture above, now playing out of Turnhouse Golf Club since he moved his base to Edinburgh, won with a great score of three-under-par 67 (34-33)
Stewart birdied the third, fifth, 15th and 17th, dropping a shot only at the sixth.
Paul Shields and John Henry finished tied for second place  on two-under 68.
James McGhee , Paul Robinson and Scottish PGA champion  Chris Kelly shared fourth place on 69.
Big Johnson's Tour would like to thank James Smallwood, head professional of Irvine Golf Club, and club secretary Bill McMahon for hosting such an excellent event today. Everything, from the golf to lunch after the game, was superb!
