Daniel Young from Perth, playing as an amateur, made the 36-hole cut with ease on the second day of the Alps Tour Final Qualifying School tournament at La Cala Resort, southern Spain today.
Young, pictured, had rounds of 70 and 73 for a level par aggregate of 143 over the Asia (par 72) and Europa (par 71) courses to be joint 25th, 10 shots behind the leader, French amateurAlexandre Daydou (68-65 for 133).
But fellow Scots John Gallagher (71 for 155), Ben Craggs (79 for 155) and Ben Collier (86 for 165) failed to figure among the 68 qualifiers with aggregates of 147 and better.
