DUNCAN STILL LEADS THE WAY IN BRIMMOND BISTRO - NORTH EAST ALLIANCE ORDER OF MERIT
The Brimmond Bistro restaurant - based at Craibstone Golf Club - are sponsors of all three North-East Alliance Order of Merits for the 2015-16 season. They will offer prizes to the leading three players in the Scratch, Class 1 and Class 2 divisions after the second round of the North East Alliance Championship in late March.
SCRATCH
Kevin Duncan (PLGC) still leads the way in the Brimmond Bistro sponsored Scratch Order of Merit. The only changes in the top 5 in the Scratch Order of Merit are John Duff (Newmachar) and Phil McLean (PLGC) swapping positions - with McLean now in 2nd position to Duff's new 3rd place. This week's big movers included: yesterdays winner - Greig Hutcheon (PLGC) who moved from 15th to 10th, David Leslie (Bon Accord) who moved from 25th to 20th and Stewart Finnie (Royal Aberdeen) who moved from 25th to 21st. Newcomers to the top 30 were Fergus Bisset (Banchory) and Craig Dempster (PLGC) who rose to positions 28th and 29th - respectively.
CLASS 1
There was no change to the top 2 of the Class 1 Order of Merit with Gavin Chalmers (Alford) still leading and Scott Mackie (Kemnay) still in 2nd place - but big movers in the division came in the form of David Leslie (Bon Accord) who improved his position from 9th to 3rd and John Borthwick (Craibstone) who moved from 18th to 11th. Newcomers to the top 20 were Fergus Bisset (Banchory) - now 12th - and Mike Duncan (Deeside) who moved into 20th spot.
CLASS 2
There was no change in the top 3 in the Class 2 Order of Merit as Stephen Ross (Hazlehead) extended his lead over Jim Stewart (Banchory) - who remains in 2nd place on his own - and Gary Homer (Northern) who remains 3rd. The biggest moves in Class 2 came from Peter Walker (Cruden Bay) who moved from 13th to 8th and Jim Murray (Banchory) who moved up 4 spaces to 13th. Newcomers to the top 20 were yesterday's winner Sandy Davidson (Northern) who has moved to 5th position and Newburgh's Mike Brown - who comes in at 9th spot.
