EuroPro Tour Championship winner will earn £20,000 at Desert Springs, Spain
NEWS RELEASE
The PGA EuroPro Tour has announced details of the prize fund for the Matchroom Sport Tour Championship, with the winner at Desert Springs set to take home £20,000.
Full Prize Fund Breakdown
That means it remains possible that any one of the 60 players able to enter the Matchroom Sport Tour Championship could catapult themselves into the top five on the Race To Desert Springs with victory, and in doing so claim a card on the 2016 Challenge Tour.
Only the top 60 golfers on the tour’s Race To Desert Springs after the final event of the regular season at Prince’s Golf Club have qualified to play the Tour Championship, which carries an increased prize fund of almost £90,000 with every golfer guaranteed a pay-out.
The purse for the Tour Championship began the season at £60,000, but with any surplus from each regular-season event prize fund added, this figure has risen to £88,750.
Inspired by the famous desert courses of Arizona and California, the Indiana Course at Desert Springs Resort is Europe’s only award-winning desert course and presents unforgettable views, and golf of such a dramatic nature that it has taken golf in south-eastern Spain to a new level of excellence.
The course is framed within a panorama of landmark mountain ranges. The contrast between the beautifully prepared and manicured course and the arid yet vividly coloured desert captures the very essence of the Indiana Course.
The event will be filmed for a two-hour highlights package to air on Sky Sports in the UK in November, and on networks worldwide.

                                  Paul Dunne turns professional

                                                               NEWS RELEASE

Irish golfer Paul Dunne has announced he has signed a long term, exclusive representation contract with 4SPORTS and ENTERTAINMENT, the leading Swiss sports management agency.
Paul's decision to turn professional follows an impressive amateur career recently highlighted by reaching the quarter-finals at the US Amateur, and being a member of the triumphant GB and I Walker Cup team.
Paul played an instrumental role in the team’s memorable 7-point victory over the USA by securing a half point in his singles match on the final green, clinching victory for the home team.
Paul from Greystones, in the Republic of Ireland, is widely viewed as one of the most exciting young golfers of the modern generation. In recent months, the 22 year old has captured the hearts and imagination of the golfing world, most notably by his performance at the 144th Open Championship. Paul won the final qualifying at Woburn for a second consecutive year, and went on to St Andrews and produced two opening rounds of 69. After a 3rd round 66, he became the youngest amateur in 88 years to hold the 54 hole lead, and played in the final group on Sunday in front of a global audience.
Paul spent the last four years competing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

Paul O'Hara (Clydeway Golf), winner of the Sandy Pipey Young Masters at Royal Dornoch on Monday for the third year in a row, is sharing fourth place with Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) and Kenny Hutton (Downfield).
Chris Kelly has already won the Order of Merit, being too far ahead in the points table to be caught, but there are rewards for finishing  high up the order, so plenty to play for over Wednesday's final 18 holes.

Renfrewshire A (Jamie Stewart, Lewis Breslin and Matthew Dalrymple) also scored 280 but finished third on the countback.

The new Glasgow Open Youths' Champion is Dominic Dougan (Airdrie) with 66 and 67 for a total of 133.

Runners-up were Shaun Hedger with 135 and Calum Fyfe (Cawder) also with 135.

Martin McNae wins South Order of Merit

title for first time

By CLARK RIDDICK
Martin McNae (Lochmaben) finally clinched the James Erskine PGA Professional-sponsored South of Scotland Order of Merit after his second place finish in the Shamash Trophy saw him claim his first South Order of Merit title.
This now guarantees Martin a pick for next year's Scottish Area Team Championship.
David Brodie (Wigtown and Bladnoch) put up a good defence of his title but couldn't ever close the gap on long time leader Martin. Chris Corbett (Dumfries and Galloway) finished 3rd and is one who could certainly claim the Order of Merit title in the future.
