Ian Poulter one off the pace in Crowne

 Plaza Invitational

Ian Poulter will tee off in the final round of the US PGA Tour's Crowne Plaza Invitational just one shot behind leader Kevin Na.
The Englishman started the third round at the Colonial two shots adrift of the American in second place but halved the deficit with a two-under 68 as playing partner Na settled for a 69 in damp conditions.
The pair shared the lead at the turn after Poulter birdied the first and seventh as Na dropped a shot at the fifth after birdieing the third.

Another hole in one by Jimenez as An joins

Molinari in lead at Wentworth

EUROPEAN TOUR COMMUNICATIONS
South Korean Byeong Hun An birdied the closing two holes to grab a share of the lead going into Sunday's  final round of the BMW PGA Championship, joining Francesco Molinari on 14 under par 202 at Wentworth Club on a day of dramatic scoring.
European Tour rookie An, the youngest winner in the history of the US Amateur Championship in 2009, signed for a five under par round of 67 to catch Molinari, who has topped the leaderboard since posting an opening round of 65 on Thursday.
Former Ryder Cup player Molinari carded five birdies and one bogey in his round of 68 to keep his challenge going, but there were some fireworks in the groups ahead of the final pairing.
Englishman Tommy Fleetwood holed his second shot with a seven iron from 198 yards on the par five fourth hole for an albatross, and then eagled the 12th hole en route to a superb round of 65.

Meanwhile, there was another piece of history for Spaniard Miguel Angel Jiménez, pictured left, the oldest winner on The European Tour, who aced the par three second hole for the tenth hole-in-one of his European Tour career – the most by any player, beating Colin Montgomerie’s previous record of nine.
It was Jiménez’s third hole in one of the season, and second in consecutive weeks, and a birdie on the last hole sealed a round of 68 for the 51 year old. That moved him to 10 under par for the tournament and into fifth place, a shot behind Fleetwood, while Thailand’s Thonagchai Jaidee is third on 12 under par 204, two shots behind the leading pair, after a third round of 68.
Key player quotes
Francesco Molinari – 68 (-14 total)
“It's not easy to lead a tournament from the first day.  Obviously it's the ideal position, but you've got guys coming for you and today I could hear the roars for the eagles and albatross.  It was another good day.  I played solid and only had one dropped shot which is the main thing.”
Byeong Hun An – 67 (-14 total)
“I started with a birdie, tap‑in birdie, so it was a good start to the day.  I was really consistent all day.  I hit it well and then missed a couple of shots, which is possible on this course.  But overall I played great today.
“I was nervous, but more excited than nervous.  That's what I felt this morning.  I was really looking forward to playing today.  I was in the last group and now tomorrow as well.”
Tommy Fleetwood – 65 (11 under par total)
“That's about as good as you can play a hole of golf really (on the fourth), and it was a good move early on. I had a really good drive, 198 to the pin, a little downbreeze, a little off the right and it was a perfect seven iron.
“Obviously you take it on the green and try to give yourself a chance of an eagle but once it pitched and moved left, it always looked good but I had no idea it was going to go in and we were pretty excited about that one.”
Miguel Angel Jiménez – 68 (-10 total)

“I have been very prolific (with holes in one) this year. This is my third one this year with Abu Dhabi, Spanish Open last week, and now here, and also a couple of times from the middle of the fairway. That means that my irons, they are like darts.
“I break so many records. I’m still winning tournaments, this year not yet but I’m coming, but now with the hole‑in‑ones, it's nice.  It's nice to feel the way I feel.”

Graham Fox breaks Dalmuir Municipal record

with 10-under  60, including inward 27

Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) boosted his early season earnings to £6,911 from 21 events by winning today's West Dunbartonshire Council pro-am with a record score of eight-under-par 60 which included an inward half of five-under 27.

Over the shortish Dalmuir municipal course, Fox had four birdie 2s over a span of five holes, from the 11th to the 15th.
Fox figured in a winning partnership seven times in the PGA in Scotland winter four-ball, better-ball series through February-March.
He won the top prize of £1,327 at Dalmuir by four shots from joint runners-up Jonathan Sharp (Carrick on Loch Lomond and Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) who hotfooted it back to Scotland after missing the cut on Friday at Wentworth.
Fox's prizemoney included victory in the team event with the Alger Electronics amateur trio of  Michael Devoy (handicap 18), Brian O'Neill (7) and Gordon Lynn (18). They had a net score of 16-under 54.

Bjork, Elvira share lead after soaking wet day

EUROPEAN TOUR COMMUNICATIONS
After matching 67s on another soaking wet day in Austria, Alexander Björk and Nacho Elvira will carry a one-shot lead into the final round of the Kärnten Golf Open
Persistent rain again made for brutally tough scoring conditions at Golfclub Schloss Finkenstein, in Gödersdorf, but the leading pair gritted their teeth and ground out four under par rounds to move to 15 under.
Elvira missed just two greens in regulation all day, but struck his bunker shot to within a foot of the flag on the 11th hole and almost holed his chip shot on the 17th to save par with some ease.
Birdies on the third, fourth, ninth and 18th holes were just reward for Elvira’s fine approach play, and the Spaniard will now go in search of a second Challenge Tour title of the season on a final day when, much to the relief of spectators and the club’s overworked greenkeepers, the sun is at last predicted to shine.
Unlike Elvira, who already has two titles to his name, Björk will be bidding to secure his first victory on the Challenge Tour
The Swede believes his relative lack of experience in contending for titles will not count against him, however, as he looks to take home the €28,000 winner’s cheque.
Björk said: “It was really tough today. For the first five or six holes it was possible to keep everything dry, but when the rain doesn’t stop you have no chance so you just have to cope as best you can."
Paul Maddy will join Björk and Elvira in the final group after signing for a round of 66 for a 14 under par aggregate total.
The Englishman, who has made just one bogey in three rounds, said: “That was a real war of attrition out there today. But given how much rain we’ve had, the course has held up incredibly well, so credit to the greenkeeping staff for doing a great job
Flawless rounds of 64 and 65 moved Frenchman Sebastien Gros and Dutchman Daan Huzing right into contention on 13 under par
