SIX STABBED AT THE BELFRY
NIGHTCLUB ON NEW YEAR'S EVE
FROM GOLF CHANNEL DIGITAL
Six people were stabbed during a New Year’s Eve celebration at The Belfry in Warwickshire, according to a report by the BBC.
The story states that police arrived at the Bel Air nightclub on resort grounds and found a man with a stab wound in his chest.
"While police were at the scene, further incidents took place, both
inside and outside of the nightclub," a spokesperson said. "These
resulted in a further five people sustaining injuries, believed to be
stab wounds.
"Four were taken to hospital and one, a 28 year-old man, is in a critical condition."
Three men were arrested in relation to the stabbings.
The Belfry hosted the Ryder Cup in 1983, 1985, 1993 and 2002.

NIKE PATENT RECYCLABLE GOLF BALL
FROM GOLF DIGEST.COM
By Alex Myers
Nike has received a patent on a recyclable golf ball, Bloomberg reported.
According to the patent filed, many golf balls are thrown out once they
get scuffed, despite their cores remaining in good shape. The new
technology would create a ball that would contain an extra layer between
the cover and the core, which would allow users to remove the initial
cover and reuse the rest of the ball.
But the actual recycling isn't so simple. The patent also includes a
process by which the ball would be prepared through the use of a
chemical reaction that creates a gas that allows for the separation. In
other words, don't try this at home.
Nike applied for the patent nearly two years ago. It's unclear as to
when (if ever) production on these recyclable balls will begin.
