LUTTON FINISHES TOP SCOT IN OMAN

Clarke Lutton just managed to pip Paul Doherty and Dunbar amateur Danny Kay for the honour of being the leading Scot in this week's $50,000 MENA Tour event at Ghala Valley Golf Club, Oman.

Lutton shot rounds of 73, 73 and 67 for a total of three-under-par 213. He earned $1,234 for finishing joint seventh.

Doherty and Kay tied for 11th place on 214. Doherty had scores of 73, 72 and 69 and earned $877.

Kay shot 72, 70 and 72.

Portlethen rookie Sam Kiloh (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) dropped down to a joint 29th place finish on three-over 219 after a disappointing final round of 76. His earlier scores had been 71 and 72.

Kiloh earned $366.

Englishman Zane Scotland won the $9,000 first prize by three shots with an 11-under-par total of 205 (68-69-68)
