CROW WOOD PLAYER FOLLOWS UP COUNTY MATCH-PLAY VICTORY

ED WOOD WINS LADY DE ROEBECK

TROPHY AT CARNWATH

Ed Wood (Crow Wood), pictured above, continued his good run of form by winning the Lady De Robeck Trophy at Carnwath today with rounds of 66 and 67.
A  seven-under-par133 aggregate gave him a five-shot winning margin over local player Glen McArdle who shot 72- 66.
Callum Harrison of Carluke was third on 138 (69-69).
In midweek Ed won the Lanarkshire match-play championship at Strathaven.
Wood had a spell in the pro ranks four or five years ago. He played on the PGA EuroPro Tour event for a couple of years but, with the entry fee per event in the region of £275, you need to play consistently well to make money.
Ed was reinstated as an amateur in January this year.
