Fraserburgh's Kris Nicol scored his third win of the first half of the North-east  Golfers' Alliance season with a very good round of five-under-par 65 at Peterhead today (Wednesday).
Nicol, pictured, who campaigns on the Alps Tour, had an eagle 2 at the 13th, and five birdies, at the third, eighth, 12th, 16th and 17th in halves of 34-31 against the par of 35-35
The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre player headed a field of 83 to win the £130 first prize by two strokes from Joel Hopwood (Royal Aberdeen) and Philip McLean (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre), playing on his home course, made it a professional 1-2-3 by filling third place with a 69.

Hopwood, pictured right, had six birdies in all, including the last three holes, in halves of 34-33 but his three bogeys dragged him down and he had to settle for the £100 runner-up prize. McLean won £70.
Scotland international Adam Dunton (McDonald Ellon) was the leading
amateur in fourth place overall with a 70.

Banchory's Fergus Bisset won a £50 voucher for a hole in one at the par-3 16th hole in a round of 72. It was his third "ace" of his career and he "punched a seven-iron" at the 128yd hole to achieve it.
Fergus, pictured right, also collected a voucher for being runner-up with a net 68 off four of a handicap in Class 1 of the handicap sections.
