PATRICK KELLY OUTCLASSES JUNIOR ORANGE BOWL FIELD IN FLORIDA

Patrick Kelly, the England U18 stroke-play champion from Boston, Lincolnshire, has won the prestigious Junior Orange Bowl international boys championship by 13 strokes - one of the biggest ever victory margins in the history of the tournament.
Kelly shot 65, 68, 66 and 66 for a brilliant, 19-under-par total of 265 over the Donald Ross-designed Biltmore course at Coral Gables,near Miami, Florida.

MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ BREAKS LEG - OUT FOR FIVE MONTHS

Spain's leading European Tour player Miguel Angel Jimenez has broken his right shinbone and will be sidelined for up to five months.

Jimenez said in a statement that he had had surgery on his leg after injuring it while ski-ing on Saturday.
He suffered the injury when he fell during a ski-ing outing in the Sierra Nevada range of Andalucia in southern Spain.
He broke his tibia just below the knee and was taken immediately to a hospital in Malaga, where the operation was carried out successfully.
"I was going down a hill and lost control briefly. When I fell it was very sore," Jimenez told the European Tour's website. 
"I knew immediately I had broken something.
"I was playing very well at the end of the season, so it is obviously not a good time for me to get injured.
"When I took up ski-ing I knew the risks that I was taking but I love it so much I could not stop."
He may not be fit or ready to play in time for the first Major of the season, the Masters at Augusta National from April 11 to 14.

Jimenez was a vice-captain on Europe's Ryder Cup-winning team in September. In November, aged 48, Jimenez became the oldest European Tour winner by capturing his third Hong Kong Open title (pictured above with the trophy).
He has 19 career European Tour victories to his credit plus six on the Asian Tour.
Known as "The Mechanic" for his love of powerful cars, Jimenez, who lives in the Malaga region, will be 49 on January 5, 2013.
He turned pro in 1982 and played for Europe in the Ryder Cup matches of 1999 2004, 2008 and 2010.
