NAIRN DUNBAR FIVE-DAY OPEN

Results from the Nairn Dunbar 5 Day OPen.
The winner was local Junior Freddie Brown who beat 2009 winner Craig Neilson in a high quality semi 3&2. Brown was 2 up at the turn with birdies at 2nd and 9th then Neilson found trouble off the tee at 12 to go 3 down, the next 3 holes were halved in birdies before Freddie closed out the match with 2 putts for par at 16th.
In the final Brown went ahead on the 5th hole and never lost the lead again as Tomisson's putting let him down at crucial moments and Freddie closed out the match at 17th for a 3&1 win after Tomisson found thick rough from the tee.
