Midlands Alliance draw for Thursday, April 8 at Montrose

The Midland Golfers' Alliance, WH Miller Team competition at Monifieth Links was postponed due to the severe weather. This will now take place on Monday 12th April, 8.30 - 12.30.
Next meeting JTC Interiors Express Midland Golfers' Alliance Championship, Thursday 8th April, Montrose Links / Royal Montrose Golf Club.

MUIRFIELD MATCH FOR SCOTTISH ELITE SQUAD

David Law, last year's double Scottish champion, and Ross Kellett, the country's highest-ranked amateur, joined five international team-mates in getting a couple of rounds at Muirfield in preparation for the Amateur Championship on the East Lothian links later in the year.
They lined up for the SGU Elite Squad against the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, the host club select including two former internationals in George Macgregor and Alistair Low.The SGU Elite Squad, which also included Greg Paterson, Steven McEwan, Philip McLean, Gordon Yates and Paul Shields, won 5-2.

Burntisland Golf House Club win West/Central Fife Winter League

Burntisland Golf House Club won the 2009-2010 West/Central Fife Scratch Winter League, Alistair Low Trophy. after a keenly fought contest. Many teams had the chance to prevail over the winter but it was the Burntisland side that proved most resolute.
This title adds to the Club's success in 2000/1 and 2004/5 and the winning side now look forward to playing for the Elspeth Rae Trophy against St Andrews New Club, the winners of the NE Fife equivalent, on the 18th April at Balbirnie Golf Club.
